Life-balance is a crucial aspect of our physical, emotional and spiritual health…December is a busy time of year. A Retreat in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains is a great way to nurture and rejuvenate!
This full-day retreat will assist you with finding ways to relax, be still, and calm your body and mind. During this retreat you will learn and experience mindfulness/meditation techniques to settle your mind and body, engage in mindful movement and be taught the fundamentals of essential oils and their healing properties. There will be plenty of free-time to sit by the fire, explore the forest trails, or just bask in the fresh mountain air.
The full-day Savor the Joy Retreat is Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9:30 AM - 4 PM at the Bolton Conservation Club (56 Edgecomb Pond Road) in Bolton Landing , NY. Space is limited to 12 people. Fresh, nutritious lunch is included (please inform us of any food allergies ahead of time). We ask that you wear loose, comfortable clothing, as we will be doing mindful movement and breathing exercises. Mats and cushions provided. Price is $120/person.

Melissa will introduce you to mindfulness concepts and practices through breath and body awareness, guided meditation, and basic meditation practice.
Melissa Wilson PMH NP, BC Melissa is a NYS Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She attended the University of Rochester and has been a Healthcare Practitioner for 35 years, 25 years in Mental Health. She completed a Certification Program from The Institute for Meditation & Psychotherapy (Massachusetts) in May 2016. Her interest has been expanding her practice to include those interested in learning more about mindfulness practice in their daily lives.

Ed will be introducing you to qi gong, the ancient art of energy refinement, to enable you to take charge of the sources of energy and facilitate the flow of energy to your body where it is most needed.
Ed Hubbell is a NCCAOM Board Certified in Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac. NCCAOM)and Chinese Herbology (Dipl. C.H. NCCAOM). He received his Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. He also has a vast array of healing arts training that includes: National Certified Fitness Instructor ISSA , Additional Chinese Herbal medicine training with Craig Mitchell and Bob Flaws Ed has also received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and served as a Marine Corps Officer.

Erica’s aromatherapy workshop will feature some basic teaching about the fundamentals of essentials oils (including safety, practical application and history), as well as the correlation between aroma oils, meditation and the chakras. Participants will custom blend an aroma inhaler to use during their meditation/relaxation practice, and finish with a gentle guided meditation.
Erica attended the Center for Natural Wellness, School of massage and is a licensed massage therapist. She specializes in Swedish, Prenatal, Reflexology, Thai massage and CranioSacral therapy; working with anxiety and depression and Ashiastu Massage.
